Sam & Becki

About the day

I started Sam & Becki’s day at their house where Sam and the groomsmen were getting ready. Lots of banter was going about, I loved it! Their son Logan was getting involved and looking after the hummer which was waiting to take them to the venue. It was then on to the venue Abbeywood Estate in Delamere, a beautiful place which I have photographed weddings many times, the gardens are stunning in whichever season you get married there. The bridal preparations at Abbeywood were so relaxed and busy at the same time, lots going on but so happy and carefree, one of my favourite parts of the day especially when it's like this. Becki looked breathtakingly stunning in her dress it was a wow dress for me! as did the bridesmaids.

The couple chose to have a woodland ceremony in the grounds and it was just magical and suited their personalities, they love the great outdoors and everything about their day was just so them! Becki dressed the venue inside and out herself and she did a perfect job of it, it looked amazing. Christie Musician sang beautifully and throughout the rest of the day too. After signing the register in the grand house, everyone was patiently waiting outside with confetti. Myself and the fantastic videographer Paul Doffman from Harvey films were waiting for the sea of confetti. Then once folk had had a drink, nibbles, congratulations, etc it was time for some Family and Friends photographs, I absolutely loved doing some fun candid ones with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, it's what they wanted and my favourite way to photograph groups, I love carefree guests and couples. For 10 minutes myself, Sam & Becki took a nice stroll and I snapped away whilst they had time to themselves, its a perfect time to take a breath and be alone together. There is no shortage of areas in the garden and woodlands for beautiful couple portraits.

The Wedding breakfast was in the glass house, so light and a great space to fit everybody in and is often transformed in the evenings into the evening venue which always looks great. The speeches were made by Becki’s Father, Matron of honour, Sam and best man all created lots of laughs and storytelling. In the early evening, it was time to welcome all the guests out in the gardens where the huge tipi tents from tipi unique were there lit up to make people wow with wonder, it looked stunning and magical and all added to the boho theme. The Magician Jason Rea magic was amazing and everyone was stunned at what he was doing! Dancing never stopped all night, especially from the bride and groom. It was a perfect end to a truly magical day.
